HOW TO COMPLETE YOUR REGISTRATION
Your digital library card will be available in the JGU ID App (Play Store, App Store). You can use it to access all University Library services.
- Fill out the form in full. You will receive a confirmation email.
- After your information has been reviewed, you will receive an activation email from the Data Center (ZDV). Follow the steps provided in that email.
- Two additional emails will contain your JGU account credentials (username beginning with “ub…”) and a 6-digit PIN. This account cannot be used to access Wi-Fi or VPN. Login is only possible on library computers.
- Once you receive the fourth email, please visit one of our service desks* during staffed hours and present your ID card (or passport plus official German registration certificate). In addition, members of institutions exempt from the annual fee must provide proof of their affiliation. You may also submit these documents digitally by email. Minors must provide a signed parental consent form (PDF).
- The annual library fee can be paid at the circulation desk or by bank transfer. Your account will be activated once payment is received.
